Submissions guidelines

All submissions will be peer reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee and the Conference Organizers. Accepted submissions (poster, paper, symposium, tutorial) will appear in full in the Conference Proceedings.

Papers/Abstracts: Papers may be up to ten pages long (see Paper Template for content/formatting details). Abstracts can be up to 1000 words. Accepted papers/abstracts may be presented at the conference as either talks or posters.

  • Talks: A talk should last a total of 15 minutes. A video projector with standard VGA input will be available. Mac and PC laptops will also be available.
    • Session Chairs: Each session will have a session chair that will be assigned by the Organizers. The session chairs will be young/junior researchers and they will have to announce each speaker and keep track of time. Appropriate time-keeping tools will be available.
  • Posters: Posters must be A0 portrait. Poster boards and pushpins will be provided. Posters will have to be posted 1 hour before the poster session and they will have to be removed by the presenter at the end of the session.

Symposia: Symposia on current research topics and of multidisciplinary nature are welcomed. A symposium is allotted 85 minutes: up to four 20-min talks and a 5-min introduction. A symposium is submitted as a two-page summary of the topic (see Symposium Template for content/formatting details).

Tutorials: Tutorials aim to provide new insights, knowledge, and skills to those attending. Tutorials should target an audience of advance Masters, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral students. Tutorials should not last more than 3 hours. A tutorial is submitted as a two-page summary of the topic to be covered (see Tutorial Template for content/formatting details).

Submission formats

All submissions must be made electronically through the submission system and using the Templates provided in a WORD format. It is pertinent NOT to modify the Template provided. The submission file should be named: “FirstAuthorLastName_SubmissionType.doc” (e.g., Johnson_Tutorial.doc; Johnson_Paper.doc; Johnson_Symposium.doc; Johnson_Poster.doc).
